Parkdale, Toronto ON

Like Leslieville to the east, Parkdale is a neighbourhood that has begun to come into its own in recent years. Between Roncesvalles and Dufferin Street running east-west; and north-south between Queen Street West and Lake Ontario, Parkdale was actually once an upscale neighbourhood that evolved into working class with urban sprawl in the 1950’s.

Once home to a number of mansions, Parkdale features a number of large apartment complexes and is like many parts of Toronto something of a cultural mix of low and high income residents, new immigrants to Canada and young professionals. It is hardly surprising then that a number of condo complexes have proliferated in recent years.

Along Queen Street West, recent years have witnessed something of a transformation in the community as artists and musicians have moved in to the area that now serves as something of a cultural hub. Eminently walkable, Parkdale like many other parts of Queen Street east and west features a phalanx of restaurants, boutiques, bars and coffee shops.

Parkdale is home to a handful of schools for kids of all ages.

So if you’re looking for a passionate, committed, invested real estate agent who understands the many opportunities available in Parkdale give me call, Colton Rice, 647-558-6389 to set up a meeting.
